April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4, 1995) started her journey in music as a 7th grader when she started piano and guitar classes. At the age of seven, April began taking guitar and piano classes. It sparked her interest in writing songs. At the age of 14, April devoted much of her time to creating and playing with songs. Then, in the following months, April began to travel with her dad and write in NY and LA. April began to include additional relevant subjects into the"Take my Hand song for some acquaintances, including peer pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart is a partner at famous cosmetics brand Ilia and is also an influencer in the lifestyle industry who has a growing fan base. Lockhart was born with no left hand. It's part of who she is--but that's not the entire story. As a result Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't shy away from her handicap, however the focus isn't on it as well. The point? It's this: We all have numerous identities. We're much far more complicated than we believe we're. Lockhart in a video message from Nashville at home, claims that I don't wish for this to define myself. I'm more than my physical self. The fact that she is a disability influencer doesn't impact my life. It's all normal, and I've learned to adjust. Because it's part of who I am and something worth talking about. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken is one that will last an entire lifetime. She is an inspiration in this regard. She admits that she has been through times when she felt uncomfortable in the way she dressed and exposed her arms. Today, she wears anything she wants. and she shares her photos on social networks. The self-love she talks about is a process. It's not clear if you'll ever reach the end. This is true for everyone, regardless of their insecurity. I believe that it's really essential to surround yourself with people who can identify and feel your heart.
