Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 on an Olympic occasion. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics coach who would become Comaneci's coach later on, discovered her at age six. The first time she competed at the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She was the winner in 1970. The first time she competed in an international event in an preolympics junior event for countries in the Communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975 she was named the all-around Junior Champion. When she competed for the first time at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. In 1976, she was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and was the first female ever to remove the parallel bars using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she was performing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. She began her career as figure skater performing with her sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. The shows were skaters who were followed by musical performances.
