Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Julia Fona Roberts is the fourth generation Roberts living in Atlanta. In the early years of his life his father became obsessed by the acting. When he was an undergraduate at Emory University, he performed on stage in a number of shows in Atlanta. After he enlisted in the Air force, he appeared alongside Betty Lou Bredemus in Biloxi. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year 1957. Walter went to Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in 1957. Walter joined Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio after the family moved from Atlanta to Decatur in Georgia in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the local children's Saturday morning television program Bum Bum and His Buddies and their Buddies, which they both funded. The Actors and Writers Workshop was founded in 1964 and ran for 6 years. In the meantime, they had two more children Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, as well as Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
